Job Description

Registered Nurse III (MCPSB/06/2025/307) JG – H

Machakos, Kenya

Job Group: ‘H’

Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable

Allowances as per SRC guidelines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assessing planning Nursing interventions and evaluating patient outcome.
  2. Providing appropriate health care service including Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI), Immunization, PMTC, ante-natal care and delivery

iii.        Providing health education and counselling to patients/clients and community on identified health needs

  1. Referring patients and clients appropriately
  2. Facilitating patients’ admission and initiating discharge plans
  3. Maintaining records on patients’/clients’ health condition and care

vii.       Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment

viii.     Collecting and compiling data.

Requirement for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: –

  1. Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Kenya Registered Nursing/Midwifery or Kenya Registered Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry from a recognized institution.
  2. Registration certificate issued by the nursing Council of Kenya

iii.        Valid practicing license from Nursing Council of Kenya

  1. Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
