Parliamentary Service Commission
The Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) is an independent constitutional body established under Article 127 of the Kenyan Constitution (2010) to support Parliament’s autonomy and effectiveness (klrc.go.ke). Chaired by the Speaker of the National Assembly, it includes a vice-chair, seven MP-appointed members, and two experienced public-affairs appointees . The PSC provides services and facilities, appoints and supervises parliamentary staff, and prepares annual budget estimates for parliamentary operations. It also promotes democratic ideals through training, public awareness, and programmes that support member and staff welfare, ensuring efficient functioning of both the National Assembly and Senate .
