The Frontier Counties Development Council (FCDC) is a regional economic bloc that brings together counties in northern and northeastern Kenya to promote sustainable development, peace, and economic growth. Established in 2013, the council focuses on improving infrastructure, education, healthcare, water access, agriculture, trade, and security within member counties. FCDC works closely with county governments, development partners, and the national government to address historical marginalization and enhance regional integration. Through strategic projects and policy coordination, the council aims to unlock the economic potential of frontier counties while improving livelihoods and creating opportunities for local communities across the region.
