Job Description

Senior Strategy Manager – eMobility

We are looking for a Senior Strategy Manager to join our Mobility team who fuses data mastery with on-the-ground execution—someone who can steer commercial decisions, sharpen our credit lens, and lock in sustainable impact for riders and the business alike.

Leading cross-functional projects, you will work closely with senior executives, product teams, commercial leads, and field operations to design and drive strategic initiatives that shape the future of M-KOPA’s electric mobility business.

Focus Areas;

You will drive impact across six key areas:

  • Commercial Strategy and Pricing where you will build and iterate dynamic unit-economics and pricing models that balance rider affordability with profitability
  • Expansion Playbooks involving crafting market-launch plans and spending time in the field to validate assumptions, engage regulators, and map competitor footprints
  • Business Intelligence and Competitor Analysis where you will own Looker/Power BI dashboards and deliver concise fortnightly briefs with tactical countermoves.
  • You will lead Credit Analytics to surface segment-level risk insights that refine credit policy, cut roll-rates, and lift lifetime value
  • Go-to-Market Tooling to optimize CRM workflows, embed funnel metrics, and translate data into front-line coaching
  • Serve as a Compelling Storyteller creating crisp decks and briefs for C-suite and investors.

Expertise;

You will thrive in this role if you bring experience from consulting, growth-stage tech, investment, or data-heavy banking/mobility roles with proven expertise in pricing, unit-economics, and credit-risk modelling using advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Looker.

We are looking for someone with hands-on expansion-market experience who is comfortable getting dusty at boda stages as well as presenting to the board, combined with a strategic commercial mindset and bias for rapid testing, learning, and execution.

You should be based in or have deep market experience in Kenya where M-KOPA operates, with excellent presentation and communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across departments and geographies. The ideal candidate has experience managing multiple complex projects and delivering practical, scalable, and data-driven solutions while thriving in dynamic, fast-paced environments—equally comfortable engaging with motorbike riders in the field as presenting strategic plans in the boardroom.

We would be especially excited if you are passionate about electric mobility and unlocking access for underserved populations, have a proven track record of working with financial products tailored to informal markets, and want to be part of a close-knit, diverse, and collaborative team helping build the future of sustainable transport in Africa.

If you are excited by the opportunity to blend executive-level strategy with on-the-ground execution, and you’re passionate about the future of electric mobility in Africa, then this role is for you.
