Job Description – Cashier (Kipchimatt Supermarket)
Kipchimatt Supermarket is looking for friendly, accurate, and customer-oriented Cashiers to handle checkout operations efficiently. The successful candidate will process customer purchases, handle payments, issue receipts, and provide excellent service while maintaining accuracy in cash handling. They will also assist in resolving customer inquiries and ensure a smooth shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers warmly and process transactions efficiently.

Scan and bill items accurately at the checkout counter.

Receive cash, card, and mobile payments, and issue receipts.

Count and balance cash drawers at the start and end of shifts.

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.

Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier’s station.

Adhere to Kipchimatt’s policies on cash handling and customer service.
Qualifications & Skills:

KCSE certificate or equivalent.

Previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage.

Strong numerical and accuracy skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
