Murang’a University of Technology (MUT) is a public university located in Murang’a County, Kenya, about 1.5 km from Murang’a town. It was established in 2016 after receiving its charter from the Government of Kenya, evolving from Murang’a University College, which was formerly a constituent college of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).

MUT offers a wide range of academic programmes including engineering, business, information technology, computing, health sciences, agriculture, education, hospitality, and applied sciences. The university focuses on science, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship to support Kenya’s development goals.
