The Intern Electrician will be charged with wiring of signage, billboards, offices, machines and general electrical maintenance..

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensuring that electrical works are carried out properly while observing all quality measures.
Performing electrical work as per specification by the section head or Factory Manager and project team.
Ensuring proper maintenance of electrical tools.
Adhering to all safety regulations when carrying out duties.
Reporting on any matter in relation to electrical works.
Site scoping to get the correct requirements and measurements of the materials that will be
needed for the job.
Submitting scoping forms to the production supervisor with all the wiring specifications.
Receiving job cards from the Production Supervisor before beginning any electrical works.
Preparing wiring designs for projects.
Liaising with fabricators to design brackets that will provide maximum illumination.
Requisitioning for electrical materials from the store.
Preparing materials that should be mounted on the units.
Wiring of the units and testing of complete units.
Partial wiring of units that should be completed at site.
Packaging signage products in preparation for installation.
Requisitioning materials for site installation.
Installing complete signage products.
Balancing power consumption.
Installing controls e.g. timer switch or photocell etc.
Effecting final termination to power.
Occasionally repair machines and electrical faults in the workshop.
Any other official duties allocated to you by your Line Manager.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

Certificate/Diploma in Electrical engineering ,electrical installation or electrical related course
Minimum 1 years’ experience in Electrical works.
A team player with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Comprehensive understanding of internal and external control environments.
Demonstrate a high level of integrity, responsibility and reliability while executing their duties.
Proactive, hands-on, results-driven orientation required.
