JOB SUMMARY
To effectively handle customer transactions over the counter by delivering excellent client service and maximizing client solutions.
Duties and responsibilities
1Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Receiving and counting working cash at beginning and end of shift
2Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Accepting cash and cheques for deposits and check accuracy of deposit slip
3Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Processing cash withdrawals
4Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Performing specialized tasks such as updating daily journals, attend to customers diligently, and doing random checks on notes validity
5Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Recording all transactions promptly, accurately and in compliance with SACCO procedures
6Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Balancing cash and cheques in cash drawer at end of each shift
7Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Answering inquiries regarding checking and savings accounts and other bank related products
8Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Performing any other duties that may be assigned.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Academic Qualifications
- Minimum Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (C) Plain
- A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or business related field.
- CPA an added advantage
- Age 28 – 35 years
Experience:
2 to 4 years’ experience in a similar position
Skills and Competencies
- Good and accurate cash handling skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to use computers and related technology efficiently
- Ability to make transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain high accuracy level
- A person of high integrity and ethical behavior
