Role Summary:
The Part-Time Dentist at Penda Health will provide high-quality dental care and promote oral health among patients. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing a range of oral health conditions while ensuring exceptional patient experience and adherence to clinical standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, diagnose dental conditions, and develop effective treatment plans.
- Perform a range of clinical dental procedures to restore and maintain oral health.
- Provide patient-centered education on preventive care and oral hygiene.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, safe, and ethical dental care.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Stay current with advancements in dental techniques and practices.
- Mentor and support junior dental staff to foster professional growth.
- Contribute to community outreach and initiatives that promote oral health awareness.
Key requirements and attributes
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration and practicing license with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (KMPDB).
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a dental practice.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and teamwork abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional growth, ethical practice, and patient safety.
