Description

1.0 THE ROLE PURPOSE (LINK TO OVERALL BUSINESS OBJECTIVES, EG. ARRP)

A Product Performance Analyst plays a key role in aligning product outcomes with business goals by using data to drive smarter decisions. They help boost revenue by analyzing product uptake and customer behavior, reduce costs by identifying inefficiencies, and enhance customer experience through journey insights. Their work informs strategic decisions, supports regulatory compliance, and ensures that banking products digitally or physically are optimized for performance, growth, and customer satisfaction.

2.0 THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (DUTIES)

  1. Data Analysis: Collecting and analyzing data on various business processes, financial performance, market trends, and operational efficiency.
  2. Reporting: Creating reports and dashboards that summarize findings and present them to stakeholders, helping them make informed decisions.
  3. Performance Metrics: Developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of different business areas.
  4. Strategic Recommendations: Providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations based on data analysis to improve overall business performance.
  5. Collaboration: Working with different departments, such as finance, marketing, and operations, to understand their performance challenges and support them in achieving their goals.
  6. Forecasting: Using historical data and market trends to make forecasts about future business performance and help inform strategic planning.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for process improvement based on data insights and recommending methods to enhance productivity and profitability.

To succeed in this role, strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools (like Excel, SQL, or BI software), and the ability to communicate insights effectively are essential.

The above position plays a crucial role in evaluating, measuring, and improving financial performance and operational efficiency in the business.

5.0 COMPLEXITY EXPECTED IN THE ROLE (EG.  MULTIPLE COUNTRIES, CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES, DELIVERING THROUGH OTHER THIRD PARTIES/PARTNERSHIPS, ETC..) 

  • The above role is at Group Level- supporting all licenses and Subsidiaries in providing product and channel performance reports.

Technical Competencies

  • Data Analysis – Strong in Excel, SQL, Python/R; statistical knowledge.
  • Data Visualization – Proficient with tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Product Analytics Tools – Experience with Google Analytics.
  • KPI Tracking – Defining and measuring product success metrics.
  • Experimentation – A/B testing, experimentation design, result interpretation.

7.0  EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS  

  • Number of years: 10 years and above
  • Markets: Francophone markets a plus
  • Functional areas: Data Science, Business Intelligence, Data Analysis
  • Other: Report writing/ Presentation skills

8.0  ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS 

  • First Degree in Data Science/ Data Analytics
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration an added advantage
  • Artificial Intelligence/ Predictive Analytics Diploma
