Its known as “The Pride of Africa,” is the national carrier of Kenya, established in 1977 following the dissolution of East African Airways. Headquartered in Nairobi, the airline operates from its hub at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. As of 2024, Kenya Airways serves 44 destinations worldwide, including 37 across Africa, and is the only African member of the SkyTeam alliance .
The airline’s fleet comprises 34 aircraft, including Boeing 787s and Embraer 190s. In 2024, the Airways reported a profit of KSh 5.4 billion, marking its first profit since 2013 . The airline is committed to sustainability, aligning its operations with the UN Global Compact and the Africa Shared Values Initiative.
