Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

Advising stakeholders and clients on all technical matters related to the planning and development of controls within the county

Receive, process land development applications and grant fully, conditional or decline approvals.

Coordination of urban, lands and physical planning matters in the county.

Implement policies of the National Land Commission on land administration and management.

Provide geodetic infrastructure for cadaster survey, mapping, engineering and scientific research.

Prepare and provide thematic and utility maps for the purpose of planning management of natural environment resources, preservation and development.

Performing any other duty as may be delegated from time to time.

Requirements for appointment

Be a Kenyan Citizen

A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: Land economics; Land management; Real Estate and property studies; Land Surveying and Geo-Spatial Engineering; or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University.

Served in the position of Senior Assistant Director of Land Administration or a comparable position in private sector for a minimum period of three (3) years

Be proficient in Computer Applications

A training course in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) or Mediation, and a member of Mediation Training Institute International (MTI) will be an added advantage,

Has a proven administrative ability and professional competence necessary for the effective performance of work at this level.
