Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Keeping records of daily disaster occurrences;
  • Collecting and compiling data on disaster situations and available resources;
  • distributing relief food in the field;
  • carrying out needs assessment for those who require food and non-food items;
  • undertaking disaster recovery and rehabilitation programmes/projects;
  • Promoting peace and reconciliation, and compiling data on logistics and administrative disaster mitigation matters in the county.
  • Performing any other duty as may be delegate from time to time.

  (b)   Requirements for Appointment 

Be a Kenyan Citizen

Diploma in any of the following disciplines: – Disaster Management, Disaster Management and Sustainable Development, Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance, Peace Building and Conflict Management, Geography, Physical Science, Counselling, Sociology or Natural Resource Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;

Membership to a professional body; and

Certificate in computer application skills.
