County Assembly of Taita Taveta

The County Assembly of Taita Taveta is the legislative arm of the Taita Taveta County Government, established under Kenya’s Constitution and the devolved system of governance. The Assembly is responsible for making county laws, approving policies and plans, and providing oversight of the County Executive. It also represents the interests of residents across the county’s wards and provides a platform for public participation in county affairs. Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) debate and approve budgets, monitor the use of public resources, and address issues affecting local communities. Through legislation, representation, and oversight, the Assembly contributes to effective governance and sustainable development in Taita Taveta County.
