Company Description
Moto Hope Capital
Moto Hope Capital is a Kenyan impact-driven social enterprise, founded in 2015, that empowers underserved micro‑enterprises, smallholder farmers, and climate‑vulnerable communities through affordable loans and capacity building (motohopecapital.com). Its diverse financing products include MSME, agribusiness, WASH, education, disability‑inclusion, and climate‑action loans ranging from KSh 6,000 to 1.5 million . The climate‑action loans help households access solar lamps, irrigation kits, clean‑energy stoves, biogas plants, and tree nurseries—saving up to 75 % fuel, reducing smoke by 95 %, and avoiding 5,600 t CO₂ per year . Over 88 % of beneficiaries live in rural, peri‑urban, or informal settlements . Led by CEO Vincent Njuguna Kiarie, it also delivers business training and was recently nominated for the 2025 Earthshot Prize .
