Standard Chartered Bank Kenya Limited, established in 1911, is the country’s oldest foreign bank and part of the global Standard Chartered Group (sc.com). In FY 2023, it posted a net profit of KSh 13.8 billion (a 33 % increase) and reported strong returns on equity (~20.3 %) alongside low NPLs (~6 %) .
Digital-first, more than 90 % of transactions are channelled online, backed by innovative app features. In FY 2024, sustainable finance revenue grew to KSh 3 billion, and the bank achieved major green milestones like planting 616,000 trees.
