Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in conducting topographic, cadastral, and engineering surveys
Operate and maintain survey instruments such as total stations, GNSS receivers, and levels
Set up and mark survey control points and boundaries under supervision.
Record field measurements and observations accurately.
Assist in downloading, organizing, and processing survey data using relevant software.
Support the preparation of survey plans, maps, and reports.
Ensure proper care, calibration, and transportation of survey equipment
Maintain inventory of tools and materials required for fieldwork
Follow established procedures and safety protocols during field operations
Ensure survey activities comply with legal and regulatory standards
Work closely with senior surveyors, engineers, and GIS specialists
Participate in site visits, stakeholder meetings, and project briefings as required,
Performing any other duty as may be delegate from time to time.
Requirements for Appointment
Be a Kenyan Citizen
Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Land Surveying, Geodetic Survey, Cadastral Survey. Geospatial Engineering, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Geography or equivalent from a recognized institution
Familiarity with survey instruments and basic GIS/CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, ArcGIS)
Fulfils the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
