Job Description

Assistant Printer, KICD Grade (1 POST)

    • Job Specifications
  1. Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: –
  2. Monitoring all printing jobs; preparing work schedule sheets;
  • Preparing machines; loading schedule for letter press and litho;
  1. Reporting faulty machines;
  2. Handling or proof-reading classified printing jobs;
  3. Ensuring quality control; supervising activities of Book Production,
  • Security Printing, Lithographic Printing, and General Printing;
  • Designing, programming and monitoring printing development programmes; and
  1. Ensuring implementation of planned printing
  • Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

  1. KCSE C- (Minus);
  2. Diploma in Printing Technology or equivalent qualification from a

recognized institution;

  • Computer literacy;
  1. Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the
