Job Vacancy: Data Assistant – E-Voucher Animal Identification, Registration & Vaccination

We are seeking dedicated Data Assistants to support Veterinary Paraprofessionals (VPPs) in the ongoing E-voucher livestock Identification & vaccination program for Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD). The Data Assistant will assist in mobilizing farmers, capturing livestock data, and ensuring accurate digital recording at cooperative /Farmer Producer Organizations sites.

Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) / Cooperatives in project livestock areas

Responsibilities

  • Undertake farmers mobilization for livestock Identification, Registration and Vaccination
  • Support VPPs in capturing vaccination data through the e-voucher platform
  • Assist in animal registration and verification using Muzzle Technology
  • Guide livestock owners through the e-voucher redemption process
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry
  • Assist in organizing livestock at cooperative/FPO level
  • Maintain proper use of smartphones and digital tools
  • Provide daily field updates and reports
  • Support verification and reconciliation of vaccination records between VS, VPPs and cooperative databases

Minimum Requirements

  • KCSE / Form 4 certificate
  • Own smartphone with Android Version 10 or above
  • Ability to use mobile applications and basic digital tools
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in livestock field environments
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all personal and livestock data
  • Trustworthy and responsible
  • Experience in community work, livestock programs, or data collection
  • Familiarity with cooperative or FPO systems
  • Knowledge of local language in preferred working area
