Salary Scale: Ksh. 102,860 x 5,070 – 107,930 x 5,300 – 113,230 x 5,560 – 118,790 x 5,840 – 124,630 x 6,070 – 130,700 x 6,370 – 137,070 p.m.

Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

i. Be a Citizen of Kenya;
ii. Served in the grade of Assistant Director, Community Development, for a minimum period of three (3) years;
iii. Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Sociology, Public Administration or related field from a recognized institution;
iv. Master’s degree in Community Development, Sociology, Public Administration, or related field from a recognized institution; and
v. Proven leadership and program management skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

i. Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all community development programs;
ii. Formulate policies and guidelines to support community empowerment;
iii. Supervise subordinate officers and ensure effective program delivery;
iv. Mobilize resources and foster partnerships with development stakeholders;
v. Monitor implementation of social development projects and assess impact; and
vi. Prepare departmental work plans, budgets, and performance reports.
