Job Purpose

The Internship program will provide an opportunity to gain hands on work- experience, expand knowledge, refine career goals and build professional network and mentors

Responsibilities

  • Gain exposure in Procurement and asset management.
  • Assist in the sourcing and evaluation process of suppliers
  • Maintain an up to date list of prequalified suppliers
  • Perform front office duties such as receiving guests and answering calls.
  • Offer support services to various departments such as filing, photocopying and scanning
  • Learn and assist in procurement of items by requisition office supplies and equipment and preparing Local purchase orders, receiving invoices and ensuring suppliers are paid on time.
  • Maintain up to date database records of suppliers and offer support in stock taking and issuance
  • Support the administration team in executing activities.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
  • Perform any other assigned duties from time to time.

Education and Experience

  • A recent graduate and holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement management , supply Chain management  from a recognized institution.
  • Having a Diploma in Procurement or Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.

  • Creative: – Generates and shares as well as champions new ideas for implementation towards improving operations
  • Teamwork: – Achieves daily, weekly and monthly targets as part of the team, while taking in lessons that improve performance and openly shares ideas and views that build team cohesiveness
  • Communication-: Ability to be articulate to ensure proper communication when dealing with staff and clients.
  • Accountability: – Adheres to deadlines and appointments and is keen to source solutions proactively
  • Planning and organizing-: Designs action plans, work schedules and approaches that enable the accomplishment of operating plans that are aligned to the organization’s goals
  • Strategic acumen: Implements action plans and milestones in their daily tasks
