Public Service Internship Programme

The Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP), administered by the Public Service Commission, is a government initiative aimed at equipping graduates with practical workplace experience in the public sector. The programme targets unemployed Kenyan graduates who have completed their degree or diploma courses from recognized institutions. It provides a structured environment where interns are placed in various ministries, state departments, and agencies to gain hands-on skills relevant to their fields of study.

The internship typically runs for a period of 12 months, during which participants receive a monthly stipend to support their basic needs. Interns are exposed to real government operations, including administration, finance, ICT, human resource management, and service delivery processes.
