Job Description
Registered Clinical Officer II – 8 Posts
TRCPSB/V/NO. 002/2025: REGISTERED CLINICAL OFFICER II, J/G ‘J’ (8 POSTS)
Duties and responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:
- Taking history, examining, diagnosing and treating patients, common ailment at an outpatient or inpatient health facility;
- Implementing community health care activities in liaison with other health workers;
- Guiding and counseling patients, clients and staff on health issues;
- Sensitizing patients and clients on preventive and promotive health;
- Referring patients and clients to appropriate health facilities;
- Providing clinical outreach and school health services;
- Carrying out minor surgical procedures as per training and skill;
- Collating and compiling clinical data;
- Assessing, preparing and presenting medico-legal reports; and
- Performing any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements for Appointment
- Served in the grade of Registered Clinical Officer III for a minimum period of three (3) years;
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognized institution;
- Certificate of Registration from the Clinical Officers’ Council;
- Valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers’ Council;
- Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution.
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
