Job Description
Senior Finance Officer at SasaPay
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute financial strategies to drive revenue growth, cost optimization and alignment with company objectives.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and reporting, delivering insights for decision-making and ensuring accurate revenue recognition.
- Manage treasury, liquidity and payment operations, including float, reversals and reconciliation, to ensure efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure transaction security, regulatory compliance and risk mitigation, working closely with auditors and strengthening internal controls.
- Enhance financial systems and workflows, automating processes to support scalability and operational sustainability.
- Mentor the finance team and collaborate cross-functionally to drive strategic initiatives and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of financial management experience, preferably in Fintech.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations governing mobile money transfer services.
- Expertise in financial software, accounting systems, and Fintech tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
