Senior Quality Assurance Officer ( Quality Assurance) Job Grade Cue 5
Duties and responsibilities will entail: –
- Developing schedules for quality audits and harmonization of minimum standards for academic programmes;
- Identifying and liaising with peer reviewers on external quality auditing and harmonization of
- minimum standards for academic programmes;
- Making requests and following up on payment of peer reviewers;
- Organizing training for peer reviewers;
- Preparing reports;
- Developing schedules for monitoring internal quality assurance systems;
- Organizing monitoring of compliance to university education policies and standards;
- Drafting communication/letters for feedback to stakeholders with regard to compliance; and
- Preparing documentation to facilitate ranking of universities.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: –
- At least four (4) years’ experience in a relevant field; Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Education, Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution; Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks form a recognized institution;
- Membership to relevant professional bodies and in good standing;
- Proficiency in computer applications; and
- Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
- Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
- Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
- Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
- Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
