Job Description

Senior Statistician II – Job Group -M

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –
i. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Economics, Statistics, Economics and Mathematics, Economics and Statistics, Economics and Finance or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
ii. Have a minimum of six (6) years’ relevant experience.

Work at this level will involve:

i. Heading a statistics Section in the department responsible for planning;
ii. Carrying out more specialized and complex economic planning/statistical analyses;
iii. Supervising and coordinating the activities of staff under him/her;
iv. Heading a Planning and Project Monitoring Unit in a Department.

  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to obtain clearance from the following institutions and the clearance certificates must be produced during the interviews;
    • The Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
    • Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
    • The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
    • The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
    • The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and their names shall be published on the Boards website
  • Canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification.
  • Shortlisted candidates shall be required to produce the following documents during the interview:
    • Original National Identity Card/passport
    • Original academic certificates
    • Original professional certificates and transcripts
    • Registration certificate (where necessary)
