Solutions Architect
We currently have an exciting career opportunity for the Solutions Architect within Jubilee Asset Management Limited. The position holder will report directly to the Head of Enterprise Architecture with a dotted reporting line to the Manager- Business and Software Systems. The role will be based at our Head Office in Nairobi.
Position: Solutions Architect

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for the Solutions Architect within Jubilee Asset Management
Limited. The position holder will report directly to the Head of Enterprise Architecture with a dotted reporting line to
the Manager- Business and Software Systems. The role will be based at our Head Office in Nairobi.
Role Purpose
The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end technology solutions that support Jubilee
Asset Management’s business objectives, particularly in investment operations, client servicing, and regulatory
compliance. This role plays a critical part in aligning business requirements with technical capabilities by creating scalable,
secure, and cost-effective architectures. The Solutions Architect will work closely with cross-functional teams to lead the
development and integration of systems, optimize digital platforms, and support the organization’s innovation and digital
transformation agenda. The role also ensures all solutions comply with enterprise standards, governance frameworks,
and industry best practices.
Main Responsibilities
Strategy
1. Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into solution architecture strategies.
2. Contribute to the development of the company’s digital and IT strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with evolving
asset management trends.
3. Drive technology innovation to support client experience, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Operational
1. Design and document end-to-end solution architectures that support business requirements and adhere to enterprise
architecture standards.
2. Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks to support scalability, performance, and
security.
3. Ensure integration and interoperability of systems across front, middle, and back-office functions.
4. Estimate costs and evaluate return on investment for proposed technology solutions.
5. Collaborate with IT, development teams, vendors, and business users during implementation and roll-out phases.
6. Maintain documentation of current and future-state architecture.
Corporate Governance
1. Ensure that solution designs adhere to data protection, cybersecurity, and compliance standards applicable to the
financial services sector.
2. Identify and mitigate risks associated with system design, implementation, and maintenance.
3. Perform regular architecture reviews and quality assurance audits.
People & Culture
1. Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in technology adoption and use.
Key Competencies.

Qualifications
Academic Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Professional certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Architect)
Functional Skills:
1. Enterprise and solution architecture design
2. Cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
3. Systems integration and API development
4. Data modeling and database design
5. Cybersecurity and risk management
6. Financial systems architecture (e.g., core investment systems, CRM, and reporting tools)
7. Agile and DevOps methodologies
8. Vendor and stakeholder management
Relevant Experience
1. Minimum of 5 years in IT architecture, with at least 2 years focused on financial or investment systems
2. Proven experience in designing enterprise-grade solutions in the asset management or financial services
industry
3. Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation or systems integration initiatives
4. Experience in designing micro-services architecture
