Job Description
Superintending Engineer (Civil)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure statutory regulations and safety rules are implemented and followed.
- Create technical drawings as per work requests.
- Verify accuracy of materials and equipment.
- Maintain tools and equipment inventory.
- Plan and execute scheduled and non~scheduled maintenance on cooling towers, roads, buildings, and other civil structures.
- Ensure housekeeping and maintenance of work areas meet safety standards.
- Service and maintain equipment and tools to operating standards.
- Raise purchase requests in the plant maintenance management system.
- Raise notifications, create, confirm, and complete work orders in the plant maintenance management system.
- Comply with relevant ISO standards.
- Maintain all civil as~built drawings and manuals.
- Review internal project blueprints and structural specifications to determine dimensions and material requirements.
Requirements for Appointment:
- Minimum three (3) years of service as an Engineer (Civil).
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Registered with the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya.
- Valid annual Practicing License from the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya.
- Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK).
- Completed a Project Development and Management Course lasting at least four (4) weeks.
- Certificate in computer application skills.
- Demonstrated merit and ability in work performance and results.
