Job Description

National Construction Authority Job Vacancies

The National Construction Authority (NCA) job vacancies in Kenya are competitive career opportunities offered within the public construction regulatory sector. NCA is mandated to regulate, streamline, and build capacity in the construction industry, and its recruitment process is designed to attract skilled professionals who can support this mandate.

NCA vacancies are usually advertised for both senior management and technical positions. Recent recruitment exercises have included roles such as General Manager (Compliance, Enforcement and Quality Assurance), General Manager Human Resources and Administration, Manager Accreditation and Certification, Manager Field Services, and Manager National Construction Fund. These positions are offered on either permanent or contract terms depending on the job grade and responsibilities.

In addition to senior roles, NCA also recruits assistant managers, officers, ICT professionals, accountants, supply chain officers, human resource officers, and administrative staff. These positions support day-to-day operations such as contractor registration, project inspections, compliance monitoring, research, and enforcement of building standards.

To qualify for NCA jobs, applicants must meet academic and professional requirements relevant to the position. Higher-level roles often require bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering, construction management, human resources, finance, law, or related fields. Experience in the construction industry or public service is also highly valued. In addition, candidates must satisfy Chapter Six requirements of the Kenyan Constitution, which include integrity and clearance certificates from relevant government agencies.

The application process is usually done online through the official NCA recruitment portal and by submitting a detailed CV, cover letter, and supporting documents before the deadline. Only shortlisted candidates are contacted for interviews.

Working at NCA provides an opportunity to contribute to safe, high-quality infrastructure development in Kenya while gaining experience in regulatory governance, construction oversight, and public service.
