Job Description

Community Oral Health Officer III JG ‘H’ MCPSB/06/2026/455

Machakos, Kenya

 Job Group “H”

Basic Salary (28,620-37,100 p.m.)

Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable

Allowances as per SRC guidelines


Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Participating in oral health demonstration, exhibitions and giving lectures to community and school
  2. Collecting data for fluoride testing in water samples, analyzing and interpreting results and advising the relevant authorities accordingly

iii.             Diagnosis and treatment of common dental conditions

  1. Temporary and permanent dental restorations
  2. Reducing simple fractures of jaws
  3. Extraction and disimpactions

vii.            Drainage of dental abscess


Requirement for Appointment

  1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade ‘C’ plain and grade C plain in English/Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences and grade C-(minus) in either Chemistry, Physics/Physical Sciences, Mathematics or General Sciences
  2. Diploma in community oral health from Kenya Medical Training college or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
