Allowances as per SCR guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform retinal imaging (fundoscopy) for study participants according to protocol
2. Ensure proper patient preparation, positioning and comfort during imaging procedures

iii.             Maintain high-quality image acquisition standards and repeat poor-quality images where necessary

1. Ensure correct labelling, documentation, and secure transfer of retinal images to study systems
2. Conduct basic quality checks of captured images before upload
3. Ensure adherence to study SOPs, infection prevention and data security procedures

vii.            Maintain and care for fundoscopy equipment, reporting faults or maintenance needs promptly

viii.          Support participant flow during imaging sessions in coordination with study staff

1. Liaise with Research Midwives and clinical teams to ensure smooth integration of imaging into ANC workflow
2. Participate in training, refresher sessions and study meetings as required
3. Maintain confidentiality and comply with study protocols and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)

Requirement for appointment

1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C (plain) with grade C (plain) in English/Kiswahili, Biology/Biological Sciences or Physics/Physical Sciences and C- in Mathematics;
2. Diploma in any of the following: Diagnostic Radiography/Medical Imaging Sciences, Ultrasound, Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy and Digital Medical imaging equipment or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.

iii.             Higher diploma in ultra sonography or Medical Imagining from a recognized institution

1. Valid professional registration and a practicing license from the relevant regulatory body
2. Member of the Society of Radiography in Kenya (SORK)
