Commission on Administrative Justice
Commission on Administrative Justice is an independent constitutional commission in Kenya established to promote fair, efficient, and accountable public administration. Also known as the Ombudsman, it investigates complaints of maladministration in public institutions, including delay, bias, abuse of power, and unfair treatment of citizens. The Commission ensures that public officers adhere to principles of integrity, transparency, and responsiveness in service delivery. It also handles complaints related to access to information under Kenyan law. Through public education and oversight, the Commission strengthens good governance and protects citizens’ rights by ensuring that government services are delivered fairly and efficiently across all sectors.
