National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD)

National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) is a Kenyan government agency mandated to promote the rights, rehabilitation, and inclusion of persons with disabilities in all aspects of society. It was established under the Persons with Disabilities Act to coordinate disability programs, provide registration services, and support access to education, employment, and economic empowerment. NCPWD also offers assistive devices, scholarships, and workplace support to improve quality of life for persons with disabilities. The council works with government institutions, NGOs, and private sector partners to ensure accessibility and equal opportunities. It plays a key role in advocating for inclusive policies and social integration across Kenya.
