1	Coordinating the development, implementation and review of research and innovation policies, strategies, procedures and plans
2	Developing modalities for collaboration with external researchers and research institutions
3	Identifying national, regional and international innovative trends that are relevant to KISE
4	Undertaking patenting of KISE research and innovations
5	Establishing both local and international partnerships to enrich research and innovative programmes
6	Coordinating the dissemination of research and innovation information
7	Coordinating the development of research and innovation programmes
8	Spearheading the preparation of research and innovation reports
9	Coordinating the development of the research and innovation database
10	Reviewing research agendas and tools
11	Reviewing research proposals and concept papers for research and innovation programmes
12	Monitor and review research and innovation programmes
13	Benchmarking on best practices on research and innovation
14	Coordinating the submission and documentation of innovations
