Basic Salary (28,620-37,100 p.m.)

Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable

Allowances as per SRC guidelines

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Decontaminating working benches
2. Receiving and scrutinizing laboratory requisition forms and specimens

iii.             Preparing clients for collection of specimens

1. Receiving, collecting, labelling and registering of specimens
2. Disaggregating specimens for processing and analyses
3. Preparing reagents

vii.            Examining specimens

viii.          Writing and recording of results

1. Dispatching the results for use in clinical management
2. Preparing stains
3. Performing blood grouping

xii.           Issuing blood and blood products to peripheral health facilities

xiii.          Storing blood products according to their requirements.

Requirement for Appointment

1. Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or any other equivalent qualification from an institute recognized by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologist Board.
2. Registration Certificate issued by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologist Board (KMLTTB).

iii.             Valid practicing license from Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologist Board

1. Certificate in computer application from a recognized institution.
