Job Description

Office Assistant -job Grade Cue 10

Duties and responsibilities will entail: –  

  • Ensuring general cleanliness of offices and equipment;
  • Collecting and disposing waste;
  • Moving or carrying office equipment, furniture and ensuring orderly arrangement;
  • Arranging meetings venues;
  • Circulating files and mails for action by officers within the department;
  • Requisitioning office general supplies;
  • Operating basic office equipment;
  • Keeping inventory of kitchen equipment;
  • Preparing and serving beverages;
  • Collecting, dispatching and delivery of mails;
  • Performing office and messengerial duties;
  • Ensuring safe custody of the office facilities; and
  • Identifying, reporting and following up on office repairs and maintenance needs;

Person Specifications   
For appointment to this grade an officer must have: –

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean Grade D (Plain) from the Kenya National
  • Examination Council or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Proficiency in computer applications; and
  • Fulfil the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution.

  • All applications to reach the Commission on or before 2nd June, 2026 at 5.00 p.m East Africa time.

The Successful candidates will be required to provide the following documents before the award of offer in compliance with Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010:

  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
  • Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
  • Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
  • Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
  • Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
