Job Description

Senior ICT Officer II- Kenya-AIST Grade 7

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: –

  1. Providing guidance and procedures for operations and maintenance of computing systems (hardware, software and networks) and data communication systems;
  2. Preparing and monitoring of maintenance procedures;
  3. Coding/writing and testing computer programs;
  4. Implementation of information systems;
  5. Performing technical and systems documentation;
  6. Planning, designing and implementing the Institute corporate databases;
  7. Performing database backups, monitoring, tuning and data recovery procedures;
  8. Ensuring database security and assisting Computer Programmers with database issues;
  9. Controlling and monitoring database usage; and
  10. Development and maintenance of the Institute website.
